Neustrelitz: Talking toilets

In the German Blue Community / Blue City of Neustrelitz, the Kulturquartier will host an event on ‘The Future of our Water’. In cooperation with the ‘Blue Community Neustrelitz’, Sven Riesbeck has been invited on Thursday, 10 October at 6 pm to talk about the perspectives of municipal wastewater treatment as part of the lecture series ‘The future of our water’.

Managing Director presents sanitation concept

The issue is topical because the need for public toilets is increasing in urban centres, tourist hotspots and recreational areas. Missing or inadequate sanitation facilities are a growing burden on people and the environment, especially as many public areas lack water and sewerage connections. Local authorities are therefore faced with the challenge of protecting public spaces from contamination.

In his presentation, Sven Riesbeck, founder and managing director of EcoToilets GmbH, will outline the benefits and challenges of an alternative sanitation concept. He will explain how self-sufficient and sustainable sanitation solutions can provide a future-proof alternative to existing toilet models for public communities.

There will also be music

Jazzerviert will provide the musical backdrop to the event. The four musicians from the Lake District will perform a varied programme of groovy tunes by Sonny Rollins, AC. Jobim, Lee Morgan and others. As a special treat, they will play an original composition by vibraphonist Michael Rappold. The musician Susanne Carver will be a guest singer and present her single ‘Suses Barn-Jazz-Session’.

Entrance is free. Registration is not required.
