The Blue Community is very active in the German City of Neustrelitz. Anoosh Sophie Werner explains the goals for 2025 at the Kulturquartier Neustrelitz, where the last event of this year’s series ‘The future of our water’ will take place on Thursday, 5 December at 6 pm.
Anoosh Sophie Werner’s talk will focus on the principles and background of the ‘Blue Community Neustrelitz’, which aims to protect water as a public good. She will explain what has been done so far to protect water in the residential town and what projects and aspirations are planned for 2025.
Anoosh Sophie Werner emphasised that the protection of water as the basis of life for all is the most important task that everyone must strive for globally, nationally and locally. In Germany, too, the effects of the climate crisis, such as heavy rainfall, droughts and falling groundwater levels, pose major challenges for the management of water resources. In order to preserve water in the best possible quality for the future, principles should be applied to its use that enable its sensible use, fair distribution and responsible handling, Werner continued.
14 years’ commitment to climate protection
Anoosh Sophie Werner has been a climate change activist for more than 14 years and a freelance water ambassador, artist and educator for eight years. She has actively supported the Blue Community for many years and is now co-coordinator of the Blue Community Germany. Her work can be found all over Germany. With her activities she tries to initiate a change in the way we deal with water as a resource.
The evening will be musically accompanied by the painter and musician Holm Heinke with gentle and melodic saxophone sounds.
Admission is free. Registration is not required.
