The African Blue Community EWNA, Ecumenical Water Network Africa, published its Impact Report 2024. In the overview it states:
In 2024, the Ecumenical Water Network Africa (EWNA) championed water justice, sanitation, and sustainable management across African communities (Ekiti & Oyo State, Nigeria, Freetown Sierra Leone, Accra Ghana, Johannesburg South Africa). Through advocacy, collaboration, and innovation, EWNA addressed challenges such as privatization, poor sanitation, and the impact of climate change on water resources. The network expanded its reach, deepened its impact, and collaborated with diverse partners such as (Africa Water Justice Network AWJN, Corporate Accountability and Public Participation Africa CAPPA, Methodist Church Southern Africa MCSA, Institute of Church and Society, ICS, Student Christian Movement SCM, Women Collectives Kenya) to address critical water-related challenges affecting African communities.
This report highlights key achievements, programs, and the collective strides made toward sustainable water access and equity.
