Marta Luciane Fischer, Professor at the Brazilian Blue Community / Blue University Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná sent us this update on her work:
Last year I developed an interesting activity at my educational institution. I teach the Bioethics course for undergraduates in health courses and the Environmental Bioethics course for graduate students. An action involving more than 300 students led to a reflection on the river as a subject of rights. Next to the institution, we have a river that originates and flows into the city, and although our city is recognized for its sustainability initiatives, this river is highly polluted. The activity involved several stages but culminated in a critical opinion on our blog. I will write a report on the activities later.
I am also supervising a research project that involves finding out how much students trust the water provided by the institution.
