Cergy-Pontoise creates a local public company to manage its drinking water.
Within the next two years, the Val-d’Oise conurbation (communauté d’agglomération) will end Veolia’s management of its drinking water and regain control through a local public company. The main objective is to reduce water bills.
A year after announcing its intention to take back control of its drinking water network, Cergy-Pontoise (Val-d’Oise) has chosen its operating model. The conurbation will create a local public company (SPL) on 1 January 2027, when the public service delegation provided by Veolia through its subsidiary CYO expires at the end of 2026.
