In his presentation, “The Nadi Filter: Providing Clean Drinking Water for Better Health”, Mr. Bhatti will discuss how the Association for Humanitarian Development (AHD) has brought clean drinking water to rural communities across Sindh and wider Pakistan through the innovative Nadi Filter technology.
Mr. Bhatti will explain how AHD’s Nadi Filter has benefited over 355,000 families by using local resources—Nadi mud pots—repurposed for water filtration. This project has empowered rural women and children, improving health outcomes and promoting hygiene and sanitation practices within these communities.
With support from international and national donors, including Misereor Germany, UNEP-APFED, WHO Pakistan, and Oxfam GB, AHD has successfully provided access to safe drinking water for over 3.5 million people since 2007.
