EWNA Impact Report 2024 Water Justice

The Ecumenical Water Network Africa EWNA is a key actor in the Blue Community Chapter Africa. Reverend Kolade Fadahunsi, coordinator for EWNA and the Blue Communities in Africa, sent us the information on the launch of the EWNA Impact Report 2024:

The 2024 Impact Report was officially launched on March 11, 2025, in a gathering of esteemed church leaders, clergy, and representatives from various Christian denominations. The engagement with religious leaders from the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) across the South West States of Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti, Kwara, Osun, and Oyo aimed to foster awareness and advocacy for Water Justice. The initiative sought to deepen the understanding of the critical role religious leaders’ play in influencing societal and environmental policies regarding water access and management.

The event marked a significant milestone in showcasing the achievements, impact, and progress made over the past year in advancing key ministry, advocacy, and social action areas.

The launch event was well attended by leaders from different denominations, including:
• Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion
• Methodist Church Nigeria
• Baptist Church
• African Church
• Salvation Army
• Church of the Lord Prayer Fellowship
• Presbyterian Church of Nigeria
These key stakeholders’ presence underscored the Christian community’s commitment to collaboration and accountability in ministry and advocacy efforts.
