Up to 1 trillion litres of floodwater could be heading to Menindee Lakes from Qld.
After slowly drying out for months, Menindee Lakes’ fortunes could be about to change.
Water authorities are predicting massive inflows into the system in outback New South Wales in the coming months due to floodwaters arriving from Queensland.
“Our forecast at this stage is between 600 and 1,000 gigalitres [GL],” Water NSW spokesperson Tony Webber said.
