Welcome uMlalazi as the very first municipality on the African continent to join the Blue Community.
Rev. Kolade Fadahunsi, coordinator of the Blue Community Ecumenic Water Network Africa (EWNA) and of the Blue Community Chapter Africa, states:
I am so delighted to bring this welcoming communication to the very first Blue Community in the entire Southern Africa! The inspiring work of the KwaZulu – Natal Christian Council has yielded to us the municipality of uMlalazi a Blue Community, this great feat will ultimately propel spontaneous actions towards addressing perennial water justice issues in South Africa in particular.
Our resolve to start small as a strategy will help in turning Africa blue.
