In the coastal communities of Ondo State, Nigeria, there’s a cruel irony that hangs like a weight over the women who live there. Water is everywhere; the rivers and creeks surround their homes, carrying the promise of life and sustenance. Yet, for these women, this abundance is nothing more than a bitter illusion.
