Agrochemicals found in children’s drinking water.

The research unit (UDI) of elDiarioAR reported how the pesticides currently used are not included in drinking water controls. The state recognises the need to regulate them, but has made no progress on a concrete standard for almost two decades. The results of water analyses in rural schools in the province of Buenos Aires provide urgent data in the vacuum left by the authorities.

This situation has a particular impact on children and adolescents attending rural schools, where fumigations often take place just metres away and even above their buildings.
