Few days ago we reported about the municipal group Candidatura d’Unitat Popular CUP in Tortosa, Spain, campaigning for the remunicipalisation of water (see here). One year ahead of the elections in Catalonia, the CUP in other cities takes up the campaign:
The CUP of Cardedeu and La Garriga, united to demand the municipalization of water. The two municipal groups have received the support of deputy Dani Cornellà.
The CUP of La Garriga and that of Cardedeu are forming a common front to demand the municipalization of the water service in their municipalities, coinciding with the end of the service exploitation contracts in force until now. Councilors from the two municipal groups staged this on Monday at a press conference at the Ateneu El Safareig, in La Garriga, accompanied by the deputy Dani Cornellà. There were also representatives of the Platform for Public Water of La Garriga and the Taula for Water of Cardedeu.
