Canada: Water Watchers Against Bill 5

From the Canadian Blue Community Water Watchers:

This past Wednesday, we hosted the Bill 5 Online Rally and Phone Zap. We had an incredible turnout, and in just 20 minutes, we made 108 phone calls and sent 119 emails – an amazing show of collective action!

Since the rally ended, support has only continued to grow. We’ve seen a steady stream of calls and emails directed at our targeted cabinet ministers. As of now, our updated totals are:

168 Phone Calls & 197 Emails! That is over 350 collective interactions to targeted MPPs in 24 hours!

Continue to Take Action

On Thursday, May 29, opposition parties successfully filibustered Bill 5 late into the night, delaying its passage until at least Monday. This is a huge step—but the fight isn’t over yet.

Now’s the time to double down. Let’s flood inboxes and voicemails all weekend long to keep the pressure on MPPs. Here’s how you can take action:

Use the Bill 5 Online Rally and Phone Zap Google Tracking Form to call and email key MPPs. The form includes:

A sample script
Contact info for all targeted MPPs
A submission section so we can track how many actions are taken
