Cameroon: Camwater to Launch Bottled Water as Complementary Product to Boost Access and Sustainability.
Camwater has announced the launch of a new bottled water product—not as a replacement, but as a complementary addition to its core tap water service. This initiative is aimed at expanding access to safe drinking water and enhancing the company’s financial sustainability.
Amid a rapidly growing population, Camwater reaffirms its commitment to its public service mandate. In line with Decree No. 2018/144 of February 20, 2018, and decisions of its Board of Directors, the state-owned water utility is empowered to undertake both core and complementary activities. These include creating socially-driven subsidiaries and executing complex projects through alternative financing such as public-private partnerships and buyer credit mechanisms.
