On May 31, we reported about the findings of the monitoring mission the Blue Community PPDF – Peace Point Development Foundation did in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria: Oil Spill in Eastern Obolo (see here). Late Tuesday, June 2nd, we published the PPDF media release and the day after, June 3rd, we launched the call of PPDF to sign a petition, calling on Sterling Oil to stop the oil spill and to clean up the environment.

Nigerian media take up the case. After the Nigerian Tribune and the radio station XL 106,9 FM now also Pillar Today, The Mail, and The Reporters Diary bring the story.
