On Monday, 28 July 2025, a partnership meeting was held between the German Development Agency GIZ and the Blue Community of Mali, the Réseau Ecole RadioChico Mali (RERC). The following items were on the agenda:
– Discussion on water management issues and the actions taken by the Blue Community of Mali;
– Opportunities for partnership between the Blue Community and GIZ Mali.
After the welcome speech by the GIZ Director and the introduction of the participants, the coordinator of the Blue Community Mali, Mr Souleymane GUINDO, presented the Blue Community, its history and global development, focusing on the French-speaking countries of West Africa Mali, Guinea Conakry, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Togo.
Mr Tièdiè TOGOLA provided details on the Blue Community activities carried out in Mali, ranging from awareness-raising and training to small-scale initiatives.
