The Blue Community is proud to announce that Damilola Olajubutu, from Nigeria, joins the Blue Community as Ambassador.
Damilola Olajubutu is the second Blue Ambassador for the fast growing Blue Community in Africa. She is a distinguished rural development and public policy expert whose innovative approach has transformed outcomes for underserved communities. With an exceptional academic foundation, she earned both her first and second degrees in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, graduating as the top student at each level. She is currently advancing her expertise through doctoral studies in Public Policy at Oregon State University.
Recently, Damilola Olajubutu participated in the United Nations General Assembly meeting to promote the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6 and agree on themes of the interactive dialogues for the 2026 UN Water Conference, along with related multi-stakeholder events on July 9-10, 2025.
She had the honor of delivering an intervention on behalf of Rural Nurture Initiative (RNI) during the multi-stakeholder reflections session. Her speech focused on community-driven solutions and bottom-up approaches as a sustainable path to accelerating SDG 6 in rural Africa. Watch her intervention on YouTube
