The recent floods in Pakistan hit 800 deaths million devastated and have left thousands of families without access to safe drinking water, increasing the risk of waterborne diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, and typhoid. Immediate intervention is crucial to protect health and save lives.
The Association for Humanitarian Development (AHD) has introduced the Nadi Filter, a practical, cost-effective, and sustainable solution for flood emergencies. Each Nadi Filter can provide clean and safe drinking water to 200–300 people at flood sites, significantly reducing the risk of disease outbreaks in camps and temporary shelters. When floodwaters recede, families can carry the filter to their homes and continue using it for a lifetime, ensuring long-term access to safe water.
