From the Blue Community Réseau Ecole RadioChico (RERC) in Mali and neighboring French-speaking countries in Western Africa:
From 15 to 20 September 2025, a week of wonderful activities promoting peace, sharing, protecting nature and water management was held in Kati. The theme was: ‘Peace grows like a tree, nourished by water and love’.
The children took part in a variety of enjoyable activities that promoted peace and happiness.
The day of joy and forgiveness was undoubtedly the highlight of the event, consisting of friendly activities and smiles.
They forgave each other and shared meals every day.
Another highlight was the Peace Ball: as the name suggests, this ball contains seeds that are transformed by water.
Water is the essence of everything, and the children respect this resource, putting its protection at the heart of their actions.
Peace Day ends with a closing ceremony.
Parents and authorities joined the children in wishing the five pigeons a safe journey to the five continents of the world, where they would undoubtedly spread a message of peace and joie de vivre.
This beautiful celebration has given the children even more confidence to promote peace, joy of life and environmental protection.
