On the way to becoming a Blue Community: The Reformed parishes of Dietikon, Schlieren and Weiningen.
At the public event on “Sustainable Water Management” on 20 September 2025, the Reformed parishes of Dietikon, Schlieren and Weiningen in the Zurich region of Switzerland publicly expressed their commitment to becoming a Blue Community. They are convinced that making a binding commitment to sustainable water use and supporting projects in the Global South for access to water would be a valuable addition to the churches’ environmental and sustainability certificate “Grüner Güggel” (Green Cock). The parishes also plan to use World Water Day 2026 to raise awareness of the right to water and encourage people to take action.
