Launch of the Blue Communities – Church of Christ in Congo (ECC) · Kongo Central.
The Church of Christ in Congo (ECC) – Kongo Central announces the official launch of the Blue Communities, an initiative committed to recognizing water as a fundamental human right, a common good, and a resource to be protected for present and future generations.
As part of the international Blue Community movement, this community aims to:
- promote equitable access to safe drinking water and sanitation;
- strengthen public, community-based, and sustainable management of water resources;
- raise awareness among church, educational, and health communities about the protection of aquatic ecosystems;
- support Water & Health actions through a preventive approach grounded in human dignity and social justice.
Through this commitment, ECC Kongo Central reaffirms its prophetic engagement in favor of life, health, and the safeguarding of creation, mobilizing its parishes, schools, hospitals, and partners around concrete actions in service of communities.
