❤🔥 Make Action Your Ally ❤🔥

I know we’ve all had these little moments of doubt (we’re human after all). But amidst the unfathomable heartbreak and harm moving through the world right now, I’ve also started contemplating a different question.

What if instead of listening to those internal voices of doubt, we all looked to the water for wisdom? What would happen if we took our cues from water herself?

When I sit and listen to the wisdom of the water flowing in the river near my home － the precious and threatened Speed River － I hear clearly a few important messages.

💧 In the kiss of the mists floating off the fast flows who always seem to find their way to my cheeks, I hear the water whisper, “I’m here with you, through it all.”

💧 Noticing the smooth-worn surfaces of the rocks below, I hear the water urge patience and persistence, humming, “Sustained action can wear down the most powerful things in this world.”

💧 And when I remember that the river is not itself one single entity, but a flowing collection of countless individual water molecules, all joined together in a common purpose and direction, I hear the water declare clearly, “We are strongest when we stick together and act together.” 

In these guiding words of togetherness, sustained pressure, and action, I also can’t help but think of the power of collective action.

Perhaps we are just little, individual water molecules, but if you’re here reading this, you’re also part of a movement with more than 30,000 other little water molecules who’ve found their way into a collective river that’s growing more powerful by the day.

Can you feel it? The possibility that emanates from our togetherness? What could happen if all 30,000 of us took just one action today?
