Chandigarh: The industrial expansion in the Baddi-Barotiwala belt of Himachal Pradesh turned into an inter-state environmental issue, as untreated toxic effluents are discharged into an inter-state environmental issue, as untreated toxic effluents are discharged into the Sirsa Nadi, a rivulet that carries pollutants directly into Punjab.
