“The public sector is being gutted from within.” With this warning, the Andalusian Water Social Roundtable is sounding the alarm about the evolution of the water management model in Seville and, specifically, about the direction Emasesa , the municipal company responsible for the service, is taking. The organization, comprised of social, labor, and environmental groups, denounces a progressive deterioration of the public model , marked by opacity , the closure of spaces for participation, and a growing subordination to private interests .
