- water is the basis of all our needs on earth.
- access to safe drinking water is a relief for our community.
- ensuring access to drinking water and water conservation through our daily actions.
To make the Blue Values a reality in their villages, they will
- Show our communities the importance of water.
- Promote free access to safe drinking water in our villages.
- Create collaborative partnerships with our village schools.
- Co-organise conferences and debates on the right to access water during the rainy season.
- Raise awareness among young people and children about the relationship between drinking water and human health.
- Invite young people and children to visit our various water points so that they know how and why to make good use of drinking water.
- Encourage young people and children to take a greater interest in nature and its components
- Organise awareness campaigns and tree planting initiatives to promote a greener environment.
Souleymane Guindo, Blue Community Coordinator for the Francophone Africa, celebrates the designation of these six villages:
The Blue Community virus has traveled from Switzerland to Mali and has been living in Bamako-Kati since 2024. Now, it arrived in the Dogonland. The Blue Community takes roots here for the first time. The six villages of Telly, Walia, Ende, Kani-Kombolé, Dorodo and Barapira are comitted to promote drinking water and the sustainable management of water resources.
Life is good when there is enough drinking water for everyone, so we are committed to managing and preserving it.
