On World Water Day, March 22nd, 2026, Samir Kumar Sahu, Executive Director of Mayurbhanj Biological Research (MBR), visited PRM Medical College and Hospital, Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha, during the early morning hours. He observed that the drinking water system was not in good condition and lacked proper attention from the hospital authority and district administration. Similarly, other areas also required maintenance of hygienic conditions and functional water systems.
Women and children, in particular, need access to clean drinking water, especially when they visit the hospital with family members seeking healthcare and support services. MBR has submitted a proposal for renovation and reinstallation with proper technology support to address these issues.
