Invitation to Partner & Attend the Launch of the Kisumu SDG 6.5.1 Report and WASH–Climate Governance InfoHub.

Kisumu Youth WASH Parliament (KYWP) invites your institution to partner and participate in the official launch of two key, youth-led initiatives advancing water governance and accountability in Kenya:

• The WRM–WASH Policy and Information Repository (InfoHub)
• The Status of SDG Target 6.5 Implementation in Kisumu County

The InfoHub is an innovative, youth-led digital platform that consolidates critical sector resources, including policies, legal frameworks, research, and performance data, across Water Resources Management (WRM), WASH, and climate governance. By transforming fragmented information into a centralized, accessible, and actionable system, the platform strengthens transparency, supports evidence-based planning, and enhances accountability across institutions.
The event will also feature the presentation of findings from a county-level assessment of SDG Target 6.5.1 (Integrated Water Resources Management). This pilot provides timely insights into progress, gaps, and opportunities to strengthen policy implementation, institutional coordination, and sustainable water resource management.
As a key duty bearer in advancing national and county development priorities, your institution plays a critical role in delivering on SDG 6 commitments and safeguarding the right to sustainable water resources. This launch therefore provides a strategic platform to:

• Engage with data-driven insights to inform policy and planning
• Strengthen collaboration with youth-led initiatives, civil society, and development partners
• Enhance transparency and accountability mechanisms within the sector
• Support innovative approaches to monitoring and reporting SDG progress
