World Water Day 2026 Water Governance for Viksit Odisha: A 3I Framework for Water Positive Growth.
Water is not merely a natural resource; it is the foundation of economic transformation, social equity and ecological balance. As Odisha aspires to become a US $500 billion economy by 2036 and a US $1.5 trillion economy by 2047, the governance of its water resources will play a decisive role in shaping this Viksit Odisha journey.
From agriculture and food production to manufacturing, mining, and emerging sectors such as data centres and digital infrastructure, water underpins nearly every dimension of economic activity. Ensuring its sustainable and equitable use is therefore central to the vision of a Viksit Odisha.
