UK: Oxfordshire council demands Thames Water broken up.
West Oxfordshire District Council is calling on the Government to put Thames Water into special administration and then into ‘non-profit’ ownership.
The decision follows a council vote on March 25, where members highlighted Thames Water’s ongoing failure to manage sewage discharges, pointing to raw sewage spills into local waterways and a recent burst water main that left thousands without water.
