The Blue Community Network was launched two years ago with its website, set up and run by Roland Brunner, and backed by a small Blue Team.

Since its inception two years ago, the Blue Community Network has developed very successfully:

  • The number of Blue Communities worldwide has more than doubled to soon 250.
  • First Blue Communities in Africa joined the network, and Blue Community Africa has grown dynamically since then.
  • First Blue Communities in Asia have joined the network (in Kazakhstan, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh).
  • Blue Universities have established regular exchanges as active Blue Community cluster.
  • The Blue Schools initiative has taken off in Canada and Germany, and the Blue Churches initiative has also seen strong growth.
  • WhatAapp groups for the Blue Communities in Africa, in Asia, in Latin America, and for faith-based Blue Communities are actively used.
  • Twenty Blue Community Ambassadors from all over the world joined in to support the network.
  • The website has been continuously developed, with new functions added, and today, all content is available in many languages.
  • Blue News provides daily information from and about the Blue Communities with 4,300 news entries already.
  • Webinars and other public activities organised by Blue Communities are listed and promoted in the Blue Events agenda.
  • Social media channels with 10,000 contacts/followers are updated daily.
  • A newsletter was launched, providing a quarterly update on the most important developments.

The Blue Community Network itself is not a legal entity and has no headquarters or formal structures. Launched as a private initiative based on commitment and voluntary work, the website and social media channels have grown into a platform used by Blue Communities worldwide to promote Blue Community values and attract new partners.

And the Blue Community Network keeps growing. If you are not a Blue Community yet, we invite you to join in and turn blue (see online form here). If you already are a Blue Community, we invite you to promote our network and engage with us by joining an active chapter or cluster.

We look forward to hearing from you and to welcome new partners.
