Kazakhstan’s maritime economy participants will appear in a new global environmental ranking.
In 2026, the international company Kelp Farms will launch its debut independent ESG-based tool for assessing marine activities—the EcoMarine Index. This ranking is designed to objectively analyze the ecological footprint of marine users worldwide. It sets universal sustainability benchmarks, combining scientific approaches, ESG criteria, and applied analytical methods. The project’s primary goal is to increase the transparency of the marine economy and encourage responsible interaction with ocean resources. The initial results of the study are planned for release in April of this year.
