2nd Hydroclimatic Risks Report 2025-2026 from AEOPAS Now Available.
Good news? Yes: the Iberian peninsular hydraulic reserve reaches 83.3%, in March 2026 no territorial units are recorded in prolonged drought, and the population affected by scarcity scenarios is notably reduced.
But the report also issues a clear warning: this improvement is not structural. Vulnerable territories persist, risks increase due to the alternation between intense rains, floods, and future scarcity situations, and it remains urgent to strengthen the resilience of the urban water cycle.
