1st International Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) joins an international coalition of faith communities, governments, and civil society at the 1st International Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels in Santa Marta, Colombia, from 24-29 April 2026.

The conference begins online: a webinar, “Faiths for a Fossil Fuel Free Future,” is offered on 15 April 2026 in two sessions. Session 1 at 10:00–11:00 CEST, and session 2 at 15:00–16:00 Colombia time.
