EurEau Congress 2026: International Water Congress in Zurich.
On behalf of the European water association EurEau, the SVGW (Professional Association for Water, Gas and Heating) and the Swiss Blue Community VSA (Association of Swiss Wastewater and Water Protection Professionals) will jointly host the Swiss EurEau Water Summit at the Technopark in Zurich on 21 October 2026. Under the title ‘Our Water System under Pressure’, the summit will feature fascinating presentations by national and international speakers on current challenges relating to water supply and wastewater management.
The water sector in Switzerland and across Europe faces similar challenges: increasing pollution from persistent substances such as PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), the ongoing tension between agriculture and resource conservation, and the rise in droughts and floods, which are primarily attributable to climate change. The Swiss EurEau Water Summit offers an opportunity to look beyond national borders and thus beyond one’s own horizons. How is the PFAS issue being addressed in the Netherlands? What solutions are being implemented in Italy to adapt to climate change? And how is Germany solving the ‘nitrogen puzzle’? The event also gives ample attention to Switzerland. Presentations by authorities, utilities and industry round off the summit’s programme. The event concludes with a panel discussion on the necessary technical, organisational and political decisions for the future.
The summit will be moderated by Christa Rigozzi and conducted in English, with simultaneous interpretation into German and French. The Swiss EurEau Water Summit is aimed at experts, politicians, public authorities, media representatives and, more generally, anyone interested in water management. The event offers all industry stakeholders the opportunity to exchange views, discuss issues and develop new ideas for water management. The exhibition taking place alongside the summit also offers participants the chance to find out about the latest products and services and to establish valuable contacts with manufacturers as well as planning and engineering firms.
