From the Blue Community Sunrise Movement Sierra Leone:

“No Future Without Nature”
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing our world today, and it is our collective responsibility to protect and preserve the environment for present and future generations.
On Saturday, 9th May 2026, under the theme “From Independence to Resilience: No Future Without Nature – Act Now Against Climate Change,” Beckma Empowerment Initiative (BEMI), in collaboration with Fridays For Future – Sierra Leone and partners, organized a peaceful climate procession to amplify the call for urgent climate action.
The procession brought together pupils, youth groups, community leaders, environmental advocates, and citizens who stood united in raising awareness about environmental protection, sustainability, and the urgent need for stronger action against climate change.
This initiative reflects our shared commitment to building resilient communities and promoting environmental responsibility. We believe that protecting nature is not the responsibility of one person or organization alone, it requires collective action from everyone.
As organizations committed to climate justice and sustainable development, we will continue to advocate, educate, and engage communities in protecting our planet because there is truly no future without nature.
Let us all act now to protect our climate, preserve our environment, and secure a greener future for generations to come.
