Blue Community South Asia Holds First Coordination Committee Meeting.
The Coordination Committee of Blue Community South Asia (BC-SA) held an online coordination meeting on 20 June 2026 to discuss organizational development, communication strategies, membership engagement, and future activities across the region.
The committee agreed to begin with weekly coordination meetings every Saturday to strengthen collaboration and support the growing network. Key decisions included the creation of official BC-SA social media channels, the launch of a YouTube platform for educational content and online events, and the development of a regional member directory to improve communication and cooperation.
The committee also initiated work on a BC-SA newsletter and brochure, which will help showcase activities, partnerships, and opportunities for engagement. In addition, members agreed that corporate organizations may join the network provided they support and align with the three core Blue Community principles.
Functional heads for NGO coordination, social media and events, government relations, and academic partnerships will present their strategic roadmaps at the next meeting, helping to guide the future growth of Blue Community South Asia.
The meeting reflected a strong commitment to building an active regional network that promotes water and sanitation as human rights, supports public water services, and strengthens cooperation among communities, institutions, researchers, and civil society organizations throughout South Asia.
Water for Life, Not for Profit.
