MAYA on Nutrition and Food Safety

Last week, the UrbanFutures Mutare Consortium held ward-level nutrition and food safety sessions to empower communities with practical knowledge on healthy eating, safe food handling, and improved household food practices. The sessions also promoted the use of locally available, climate-resilient foods to strengthen household nutrition while preserving food heritage. In addition, the initiative encouraged sustainable, fuel-efficient cooking practices and reinforced the importance of food hygiene in reducing foodborne illnesses and building healthier communities.
