Julio Cesar Rimac Damian from the freshly designated Blue Community FEDIP in Peru celebrates:

I want to express my sincere gratitude for having included me in this Blue Community. It is an honor to be part of you in this mission to protect water, the environment and human rights. I join with great enthusiasm and responsibility, knowing that every step we take is part of a change.

I want to tell you a little story: once there was a hummingbird, which, in the middle of a burning forest, was trying to put out the fire. All the animals ran desperately, but the hummingbird, brave, went and returned, carrying a little water in its beak. The others told him: “You’re not going to achieve anything, it’s stupid.” And he responded: “Maybe it won’t change reality, but I’m doing my part.”

So, brothers and sisters of the Blue Community, we may not be able to change the world all at once, but I am doing my part. From my position, be assured that I will maintain this commitment until the last day of my life, with all my strength, at this end of the struggle.
