Kabonga: Three years without drinking water, residents raise the alarm.
For nearly three years, residents of Kabonga Hill, in the Kabonga area of Nyanza commune, have been denouncing a drinking water shortage that disrupts their daily lives and forces them to use water from Lake Tanganyika, with the associated health and safety risks. While the population is demanding urgent intervention from the authorities, the municipal administration maintains that solutions are underway through a REGIDESO project that should soon supply Kabonga and other localities in the commune with drinking water.
