Why the Greens support the Reuss initiative

Waterways are of great importance in the Canton of Lucerne. They are habitats for both people and animals. Healthy waterways are the foundation of life for our agriculture and fisheries, for animals and plants in and around the water, and for us humans. Lucerne should be a pioneering Swiss canton for the rights of nature – that is the aim of the Reuss Initiative, and that is why we, the Green Party, support it.
