Yesterday, we could welcome the faith-based Save Mission Community from Sri Lanka among the Blue Community. Here a short report on their very recent water project:
Bringing Hope Through Clean Water in Sri Lanka.
For many years, the communities around Malpitiya, Boyagane in the Kurunegala District of Sri Lanka struggled with a severe shortage of water. Rivers and traditional water sources had become unreliable, forcing families to travel long distances in search of water for drinking and daily use.
In response to this urgent need, Save Mission Community Trust with the partnership with Breakthrough Water successfully installed a Bore well.
Today, this single tube well provides safe drinking water to six surrounding villages, bringing hope and improving the quality of life for hundreds of people. Children now have more time for school instead of searching for water, families have access to clean water for drinking and cooking, and the risk of waterborne diseases has been significantly reduced.
This project demonstrates how one reliable source of clean water can transform an entire community. We are grateful to every partner and supporter who made this life changing initiative possible.
