From Eng. Ibrahim Al-Qadhi – Blue Community Representative in the MENA region:
On 19 July, 2026. an introductory meeting on the Blue Community Network was held at the Water and Environment Centre of Sana’a University. The meeting was attended by Dr. Eng. Fadhl Ali Al-Nozaily, Deputy Director of the Centre, Dr. Sharaf Al-Din Saleh, Project Manager at the Centre, and Dr. Mansour Haidara, the Centre’s Consultant, together with Eng. Ibrahim Al-Qadhi, the Blue Community Representative for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
During the meeting, an overview of the Blue Community Network was presented, including its mission, objectives, affiliation process, and the opportunities for future collaboration with the Water and Environment Centre.
The Deputy Director of the Centre expressed his appreciation for the Blue Community’s mission and welcomed the initiative. He also expressed the Centre’s willingness to become a Blue Community and join the network. He also offered the Centre’s readiness to host the Blue Community office in Yemen.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish a joint working group to facilitate the Centre’s affiliation to the Network and to arrange a dedicated follow-up meeting at the earliest opportunity.
