Water quality monitoring and assessment of water management in forest dependent communities in Boki, cross River state, Nigeria.
The project is aimed at bridging water inequality among forest dependent communities in Boki Nigeria.
Basically it deals with the use of hydrogen sulphide test vials as a tool for low cost screening to identify facial contamination in drinking water especially in rural and resource limited communities
It’s interpretation is usually based on whether the vials turn black within the incubation period of 24– 48 hours.
This H2S test vials is very important as it serves as a community monitoring tool to determine the level of contamination and also in the development of Water Safety Plan(WSP) in line with world health standard
The project is carried out by Biakwan light with partnership with Peace Point Development Foundation -PPDF.
