Saudi Arabia has officially designated 2027 as the “Year of Water,” coinciding with Riyadh’s hosting of the 11th World Water Forum from 21–25 March 2027.
This development places water security, sustainability, and public awareness at the centre of an important regional and international agenda. It also creates valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, institutional partnerships, and practical action addressing water scarcity and climate resilience.
At Blue Community MENA, we are looking forward to following the initiatives emerging from the Year of Water and exploring constructive engagement with universities, municipalities, water institutions, and civil-society partners across the region.
