I have been incarcerated in Mbarara main prison in western Uganda for 30 days following my arrest by security on July 6, 2026, and am still facing escalating threats including death threats. This life-threatening situation is affecting me and my family.
All this is being coordinated by perpetrators targeting me due to my journalistic, activism and civic duty work.
There’s growing harassment of critical journalists and activists in Uganda.
