NO to mining – YES to clean water!

Fertile regions in the Rio Pardo basin, home to over 1 million people in the state of Bahia, Brazil, including many smallholder farming families.

Exploitation of minerals and rare earth elements – a billion-dollar business at the expense of the local population and the Rio Pardo.

Over 3,000 concessions for the exploitation of the land and the destruction of the local population’s livelihoods are at stake.

The people say clearly and resolutely: NO to mining – YES to clean water! 🍀 💧
