Bellinzona and Amb receive recognition for their efforts to enhance drinking water.
They are the first entities in Italian-speaking Switzerland to receive the Blue Community label, ‘demonstrating their commitment to protecting water resources’.
Joining Blue Community—a concept aimed at maintaining public ownership of drinking water supplies and promoting the human right to water—represents “an opportunity to raise awareness of the value of water and the work required to collect, treat, distribute, and protect it.”
