Youth, Water & Climate Action in Francophone Africa

A first small Blue Community cooperation project brings together six Blue Communities in Francophone Africa to engage young people in water protection, environmental awareness and climate action. Through university and community-based conferences, experience sharing and practical awareness activities, young people will be encouraged to become active ambassadors for water and the environment in their communities.

The project aims to strengthen cooperation among Blue Communities, turn awareness into concrete action, and build a growing youth movement for water as a human right and a common good.

In a first step, the participating Blue Communities will produce together visibility materials such as banners, T-Shirts and caps. Souleymane Guindo, Coordinator for the Blue Community in Francophone Africa,  coordinates this small project, financed by the Blue Community parish of Spiez in Switzerland.
