«Joining the Blue Community Network provides an opportunity to connect with like-minded institutions and organizations, exchange knowledge and good practices, and contribute to collective efforts to address water-related environmental and social challenges.»
Eng. Ibrahim Al-Qadhi, Representative for the Blue Community Network in the MENA region, welcomes the Sana’a University’s Water and Environmental Center in the Blue Community:
«It is my privilege, on behalf of Blue Community MENA, to welcome the Water and Environment Centre at Sana’a University into our regional community. This is more than the addition of a new institutional member. It is a valuable partnership that brings together academic knowledge, applied research, community engagement, and a shared commitment to water justice and environmental sustainability.
For Blue Community MENA, having Sana’a University represented through the Centre adds significant academic credibility and expands our capacity to connect regional advocacy with research, education, and practical solutions. For the Centre, membership provides a platform to share Yemeni expertise which roots in deep historical water-based civilisation, develop institutional partnerships, increase the visibility of its work, provide insights of water access in conflict areas, advocate for resilient water access, and participate in a growing international movement dedicated to protecting water as a shared public resource.
We look forward to working with the Centre’s leadership, researchers, faculty members, and students. Together, we can transform knowledge into action, strengthen regional cooperation, and advance a future in which every person can enjoy safe, affordable, and sustainable access to water and sanitation.
Welcome to Blue Community MENA. We are proud to have the Water and Environment Centre at Sana’a University as part of this shared journey.»
