Saint-Charles-Borromée Certified as a “Blue Community”.
The City of Saint-Charles-Borromée has achieved “Blue Community” certification.
Awarded by the organization Eau Secours, this recognition highlights the municipality’s commitment to water protection and its acknowledgment of water’s importance to the entire community.
By obtaining this certification, the City affirms that water is a common good and part of our collective heritage, and that its protection and preservation are a responsibility shared by society as a whole.
To earn this recognition, the City committed to acknowledging the human right to water and sanitation services; promoting drinking water and wastewater services that are publicly funded, owned, and operated; and banning the use and sale of bottled water in its facilities and at its events.
